When Activision planned to make Blue Stinger a launch title,
they where expecting the game to be a Dreamcast version of Resident Evil: Code Veronica. They were expecting big things, and so was the developer, Climax Graphics. Blue Stinger is sort of the same storyline as Resident Evil, your lost in an island filled with zombies. You'll have to kill all the zombies, find stuff and try to get the hell out of the island. Blue Stinger is sort of like a clone of a Resident Evil game, something went wrong and the clone wasn't as perfect as the original.
The storyline is pretty interesting, you begin as Eliot, a sea-rescue expert. Eliot is in the Gulf of Mexico with a friend when suddenly, a metoer crashes on a nearby island called Dinasaur Island. Eliot's friend dies, but he survives, and finds himself at island docks. At the docks he meets this wierd creature called Nephilim. You'll have to explore the island, looking for clues, sometimes nephilim will help you out with clues. After a little while, you'll get to play as Dogs, an heavy weapsons expert. You'll be able to switch characters between the game. Here's a brief rundown of the characters:
Eliot Ballade, a 28 year old sea disaster expert. Time to time, you'll see him flirt with Jenine.
Jenine King is a 24 year old computer wizard, who works for the Dinasaur Island security.
Dogs is a muncho heavy weapons expert. He operates a ferry service in the mainland. Has a secret past, and won't tell anyone.
Nephilim is an angel like creature who follows Eliot through the missions. Sometimes gives clues, but nobody knows the reason why she's in the game.

Blue Stinger offers lots of missions, some are small and easy, some are long and confusing. There really isn't a lot of zombies swirming around like in Resident Evil, and but there are a lot of bosses.
Some of the negative things about this game is the camera angles. Its just horrilbe, the camera goes all over the place. There isn't a lot of zombies to shoot at. There are also some positive things like the graphics. The amount of detail on the island and zombies is pretty cool. The graphics on the characters could've been better, but I still considered it very good.
Overall, Blue Stinger is a pretty good game, although its no Resident Evil. Around the time of the launch, I would've said this game rocks. But now, with other great games coming out like Zombie Revenge, Carrier, and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, I don't think this game is all that.
