By now, I'm pretty
sure you have heard of the name Visual
Concepts. But did you know they were
around even before Electronic Arts
started creating games in a basement.
Visual Concepts have made games for the
PC, Genesis, SNES, Jaguar, Playstation,
Saturn and now Dreamcast. Sega of America
bought the developement team around
Spring 1999 and asked them to make a line
of sports games for the Dreamcast. So,
Visual Concepts started making 2 sports
games, and you know what they are, NFL 2K
and NBA 2K. Visual Concepts has promised
the top of the line graphics on all their
games. Their upcoming game Floigan
Brothers considered to have graphics
exactly similar to Toy Story 2 the movie.
Amazing isn't it?
NFL 2K is an instant
classic since the launch of the
Dreamcast. A huge success, and 6 months
after the DC launch, the game was still
on the top 30 in North Ameirca. NFL 2K is
considered the closet any game has gotten
to rival real NFL.
One of the good things
is that NFL 2K isn't just another very
detailed football simulation game. Visual
Concepts has added some humor to the
game, with some power slams, tackling a
guy from mid air and the funny replays of
when a player gets hurt.
NFL 2K comes with tons
of different modes, around 8 modes I
believe. From, practice, regular season,
fantasy team, creating a team and so on.
The regular season has the official
1999/2000 season.
NFL 2K has amazing TV
like presentation, it actually looks like
your watching tv in the replay mode. Some
people have actually told me NFL 2K
fooled their parents. A friend of mine
told me that his dad thought he was
watching football. There is more to it
than the amazing TV like presentation,
the amount of detail on the players is
incredible. In a normal football game,
when its raining the players get muddy
and all dirty. The grass gets all wet and
stuff, well you could see that NFL 2K.
The players in NFL 2K will get dirty,
with mud on their jerseys.
This is a must buy
game, it really doesn't matter what kind
of games you like. Any simple guy will
love this game. The TV like presentation,
the great amount of detail, and just the
pure fun of playing great football. I
know a lot of people who have played NFL
2K, and they all gave positive comments
about the game.
